  • Pennsylvania Sunset

I saw this sunset while visiting Faithe and Wendell Zercher in Harrisburg, PA this summer.  The clouds and glow stuck with me and I had to try to paint it. Its impossible to completely capture light with paint, but this is my attempt.

  • Cavallo Point

The fishermen caught a Rock Cod while I was there.  The sailboat was one of many with black sails.  Cavallo Point juts into the San Francisco Bay from Sausalito. It is the East boundary of Fort Baker. There are some old gun emplacements on the hill.  It was foggy and sunny at the same time.

  • Mount Tamalpais #18

This is a view I have seen many times crossing the San Rafael Bridge. Quite a contrast of a beautiful bay and moutain, and San Quentin Prison. There has been a prison in this location since 1852.

  • Golden Gate: Lime Point Lighthouse

The comparison of scale of the old customs house under the Golden Gate Bridge makes it look like a doll house. Its the Lime Point Lighthouse. So far, I haven't been about to find out anything more about it. Its always a challenge to paint the iconic bridge and not make it look like its made for tourists. It was a sunny day, but the fog was also hanging there.

  • Fountain At The Palace

The 100th Anniversary of the Panama Pacific Exposition is this year, 2015. The Palace of Fine Arts was built for this as a temporary building, but citizens wanted to keep it.
