  • Evening Sky

I saw this sky from my front yard. I have been taking pictures of similar skies in the last two years. So, finally, I tried to paint these subtle colors. I had to have the paper flat on the table and used a lot of water, rewetting often with a spray bottle until I was reasonably satisfied.

  • Cavallo Point

The fishermen caught a Rock Cod while I was there.  The sailboat was one of many with black sails.  Cavallo Point juts into the San Francisco Bay from Sausalito. It is the East boundary of Fort Baker. There are some old gun emplacements on the hill.  It was foggy and sunny at the same time.

  • Golden Gate: Lime Point Lighthouse

The comparison of scale of the old customs house under the Golden Gate Bridge makes it look like a doll house.  Its the Lime Point Lighthouse. So far, I haven't been about to find out anything more about it. Its always a challenge to paint the iconic bridge and not make it look like its made for tourists. It was a sunny day, but the fog was also hanging there.

  • Old & New Bay Bridge2

I came home with sore feet and body from walking 12 miles round trip to see the remains of the old bridge still standing near the New Bay Bridge with its elegant curve. There is a walk and bike path on the new span. Its closed as it gets close to the old bridge while they are dismantling it. If you take the trail, don't walk, take a bike.

  • Elephant Rock-Golden Gate-Lime Point

The view from near Fort Baker nearly under the Golden Gate Bridge on the North side. The fog covers the top of the bridge but sun falls on the foreground.
